Celebrate The Occasion Challenge #3

Hello everyone and welcome to the 3rd challenge at Celebrate The Occasion. This weeks challenge is Any Occasion using the colors Green, White, and 1 Optional color. I hope you will join in the fun!
For my card I welded 2 tags from Once Upon A Princess in my Gypsy for the card base and also a layer a little smaller for the mat. The flowers were cut from Paisley. I cut 2 layers for each flower and embossed them with my Swiss Dots folder. I also cut the circle centers from Paisley and used my Peachy Keen stamps to stamp the faces. To finish the card I stamped the sentiment onto an oval punched shape and tied a ribbon to the top. I hope you all enjoyed my card and I can't wait to see what you will come up with!

Simple and Sweet

Happy Sunday everyone! Here is the card that I did for The Paper Variety and Getting Cricky With K Andrew's challenges. For The Paper Variety the challenge was the above sketch and for Getting Cricky the challenge is ABC's. I designed this card in my Gypsy using George for the blocks and Robots for the font. The "blessings" was printed off my computer and I used my corner rounder punch on the bottom. To finish I tied a bow across the top. REALLY quick card, but very cute I think. I hope you all had a great weekend and thanks for looking.

You Rock!

Good afternoon all! Here is the card I made for More Than Favors CCCC challenge #6. This weeks challenge is Rock Princess. I don't have that cart so I used Once Upon A Princess. I cut the girl at 4 inches and "blinged" her out. I added jewels with my I-Rock to her belt, head band, and made a necklace for her using a silver pen and a jewel. The mats were also cut from OUAP custom sized in my Gypsy. To finish I added a ribbon and stamped the sentiment on a puched oval. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #47

Hello everyone! Fantabulous Cricuts challenge this week is "Weather Forecast". Make something with seasonal weather. So this is what I came up with because I CAN'T wait for spring! For my card I cut the hampster from Four Legged Friends at 2 inches. The umbrella was cut from April Showers at 2.5 inches. The grass was cut from Everyday Paper Dolls and the the frame was cut from Once Upon A Princess. I thought this fame looked kinda like a cloud. ( Did I use enough different carts? ) I used a black pen to highlight the hampster and umbrella and stamped the image. I hope you all are having a wonderful day and thanks for looking!

Acetate Treat Box and WINNER

Hello everyone! For today I have a cute little treat box that I made for Always Crafting's Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. The challenge is to make your own embellishment. I cut a pillow box out of acetate from Wrap It Up at 5 inches hiding the decorative cutout with my Gypsy. I then embossed it with Sizzix's hearts folder. It's hard to see in the pictures but I did take a close up shot that you can kinda see. I filled it with M&M's and tied a ribbon around it. I then made the flower with different sized flowers from Paisley. The white layer I embossed with Swiss Dots and chalked over with a pale pink. The center brad I made using my I-Top and some pink fleece. I hand wrote the tag and attached it to the flower.
I also have the winner of the BE MINE BLOG HOP. Random.org chose #7 Bunny Freak!
Congrats Bunny Freak! I have your email address and will be contacting you. Thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments and have a beautiful VALENTINES DAY!

Peachy Keen LFIF Altered Card Storage

Click here for the BE MINE BLOG HOP

Hello everyone! Here the altered card box that I did for Peachy Keen's LFIF challenge. The challenge is to alter something into a card storage box. The first picture is what I started with...a leftover box from Christmas. I removed the ribbon handle and covered the whole box with decorative paper. I then added a new ribbon for the handle and also a trim to the top of the box. I cut the owl from Hoot N Holler at 3 inches and instead of using the flower in his belly I added a heart. The phrase was also cut from HNH but I added a heart instead of the word love. I used my Peachy Keen face stamps and stamped the faces on the hearts on the front as well as the sides. I am also going to enter this into the Creative Cutter Room Design Time Thursday Challenge which is Love Notes.... make a card or treat box. I hope you like my altered box and thanks for looking! Have a great day!

For my project I made this CUTE gable box. The gable box I bought from Wal-Mart...a package of 3 for $2! I cut the mice from Four Legged Friends at 2 inches with one of them being cut using the flip feature on my Cricut. The heart around the acetate window I traced and then cut out with scallop scissors. Incidentally I can't even remember the last time I used them! :) LOL! I glued ribbon around the bottom, sides and top flap of the box and added a bow to the handle. The framed sentiment is from a piece of paper cut out of the K&Company Valentine stack and matted. I hope you all enjoyed my project and your next stop is Adrian.

Fun Flock Bunny

Hello everyone! How cut is this bunny? I am so happy with the way it turned out. I tried something new today! Fun Flock! This stuff is SO cool! I cut the bunny from Simply Charmed at 3 inches. I then Fun Flocked the whole body except for the face. I chose not to use the face layer and instead stamped the face with a Peach Keen stamp. I cut an egg from Doodlecharms for the bunny to sit on and stamped the sentiment. I also embossed the backround with my Cuttlebug. I am going to enter this into the following challenges:

Scrappy Mom's Stamps TTC- Simply Charmed

Lip Gloss Card

Hello everyone! Here is a lip gloss card that I made. I started with a 4 X 71/2 inch piece of cardstock and scored it at 2 5/8, 3 1/4, 3 3/4, and 6 1/2. I cut a 3/4 inch wide strip from the 2 5/8 inch line to the 3 3/4 inch line with an x-acto knife to make the lip gloss holder. Then fold all your score line with the 3/3 inch strip going to the inside instead of the outside like the rest of the score lines. I glued a piece of coordinating paper to the outside making sure not to glue down the 3/4 inch strip and punched 2 holes at the top for the ribbon to be tied through. I also cut a pice of white cardstock for the inside and stamped the sentiment. For the outside I punched the flap with a border punch and added the lips from Indie Art and the "Kiss Me!" I welded in my Gypsy using Robots and added Glossy Accents to the lips to make them SHINE! I hope you all can understand those directions and if not please just ask. I am entering this into the following challenges:
Flaunt It Fridays- Indie Art Lips
More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday #25- Valentines
Have a wonderful day!

Celebrate The Occasion Challenge #1

Hello everyone! Here is my DT project for this weeks Celebrate The Occasion challenge. This week the challenge is Kid's Birthday. I started this project with a simple box that measures 5 inches high X 1.5 inches wide X 3 inches tall. I then cut a 4 7/8 X 6.25 inch piece of cardstock that I rounded the corners with my corner punch and a mat layer that was cut at 4.75 X 6 that I also rounded the corners. I glued this piece to the back inside of the box to get the back. I added a 2.5 inch strip of matching paper around the center of the box. The girl was cut from Twinkle Toes at 4 inches and the frame on top of box with the stamped sentiment was cut at 1.5 inches also from Twinkle Toes. The cake was cut from Simply Charmed at 2.5 inches that I hid the face layers in my Gypsy. I embossed the layers of the cake with my Cuttlebug and used my white gel pen to highlight the cake and girl. To finish I added a bar of soap and bottle of lotion as a gift. I hope you will go check out this weeks challenge at Celebrate The Occasion and I look forward to seeing YOUR creations! Make sure you come back here for our Valentine Blog Hop on Saturday Feb. 12th! Take care and happy paper crafting!

Throwback Thursday and CCCC Challenges

Hi everyone! This card is NOT cut from Nifty Fifties! I went to look through the book online and saw a VERY similar image and thought, I can do that. This flamingo was actually cut from Life Is A Beach! And the kidney shape backround I cut by hand with the star shapes cut from Once Upon A Princess. The bottom of the card I stamped....this stamp looked SO classic 50's! To finish it I added a ribbon and stamped the sentiment. I am entering this into the following challenges:

1. More Than Favors CCCC- Nifty 50's or similar cut

2.My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday- Wild Card, Just Because Cards, or if you don't have, an older cart with a stamped sentiment

Jitterbuggin #33

Good morining everyone! I have to tell you before I go into the details that I totally scraplifted this cards layout from Liz at Liz's Paper Loft. It was so cute that I had to do one myself. I made this card to enter into Jitterbuggin's weekly challenge which was to make a Valentine without using red or pink. Everything on this card was cut from Sweethearts. And all of the cuts were at 2 inches. I did some chalking and pen work to highlight the monkey and heart and I stamped the sentiment. I am also going to enter this into Cooking With The Cricut's weekly challenge which is "shadow projects".
Thanks for looking and have a GREAT day!

Panda Gable Box

Hello everyone! Isn't this just so cute? I just got the Spring Holiday Cards Seasonal cart and I couldn't wait to cut one of these gable box's! I'll tell you, the boxes on here is the only reason why I bought it. The first time I saw this cart I just looked it over until I saw someone else do one of the boxes and went back for a second look. :) I LOVE boxes! LOL! I cut this box at fit to page and cut the mats for the backround. The panda was cut from Pagoda at 2.5 inches and I cut 2 black layers so I could prop his hands around the heart which I pop dotted to him. The heart was cut from George at 1 inch and I embossed it with Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and inked over with white. To finish it I added a bow at the top and stamped the sentiment. I am entering this into the following challenges:
1. Made By Momo- Color challenge: Pink, Black, and white with a heart somewhere.
2. Crafting With Cristina- Anything Valentine EXCEPT a card
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
